For investors
A copilot that lives on the boat, not in the cloud.
CaptainLink runs its voice AI on a computer inside a box on board. Every conversation, advisory and voyage is recorded with its source, on hardware the owner controls.
CaptainLink ONE · NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin · 275 TOPS
Built and running
What exists today. Seen in the running app.
- Voice pipeline: push to talk, speech to text, language model, voice reply
- Helm dashboard served by the box to iPad and iPhone
- Safety protocol engine: man overboard, anchor watch, AIS threat board, MAYDAY
- Knowledge cartridges with hybrid semantic search
- Maritime Academy: 11 simulations, 9 ranks, AI voyage debriefs
- Compliance checklists and document storage, pre-loaded for Spain and Portugal
- Encrypted off-boat backup to an SFTP server the owner controls
- Crew accounts, each with its own AI personality
- Training Centre (28 exercises) and Captain's Passport (129 harbours)
- Three languages: English, Español, Português
- Camera lookout on the 8 GMSL2 inputs: spots boats, people and marine life
In development
- Hardened enclosure, not yet certified
- Personal model training (personalization is a stub today)
Why it compounds
Every interaction produces structured records from the first week: advisories with their sources, voyage events and what the captain prefers. That record is what later model training uses, and it stays on the owner's box.
Roadmap
From copilot to fleet platform.
- P0 · Done
- Voice loop, sensors and the Helm dashboard.
- P1 · The wedge
- Captain and vessel profiles, first knowledge cartridges, safety guardrails. Competent on day one.
- P2 · The flywheel
- Memory layer and a first domain-tuned model. The assistant remembers and improves with use.
- P3 · The moat
- Personal models and identity portability. High switching costs; premium tier.
- P4 · The fleet
- Commercial fleets, cartridge marketplace, regulatory modules. The revenue engine.
